When Edgar George Marsh enlisted in 1901 in the 5th QIB and his details were published with the rank and file in The Queenslander, 16 Mar 1901, he noted his N.O.K. as his mother Mrs. P. G. Marsh, Wood Street, Warwick.
Edgar Goerge Marsh was born on 4 Aug 1880 at Armidale, NSW, a son to Philemon George Marsh and Amy Toba Marsh (nee Dinte). He married Maud McGregor on 17 Nov 1909 at Goondiwindi and they would have 5 Children. They resided at Goondiwindi where Edgar was a long serving Dentist and was Mayor of Goondiwindi from 1913-1917 and 1920-1923.
