1 Dec 1900:	Promoted Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, Corporal, 2nd Queensland Mounted Infantry, AWM Boer War Nominal Roll, Murray p. 461 notes promoted to Corporal and National Archives Australia- Boer War Dossier notes his rank on return to Australia was Corporal. No dates given as to when promotion occurred.
17 May 1901:	Discharged Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, Corporal, 67, 2nd Queensland Mounted Infantry, National Archives Australia- Boer War Dossier notes returned to Australia at rank of Corporal aboard Tongariro arriving Brisbane 3 May 1901, assumed discharged 17 may 1901 along with the others in this arrival.
