Another local resident who served in the Boer War is Mr Wallace Moore, a former Gosford builder, who also conducted livery stables on the present site of Mr Burgin's shop In Mann Street. Mr Moore lives in Gertrude Street with his son and daughter-in-law. Mr and Mrs Brendon Moore. Mrs A. Bridges is his daughter.
