George Rusden Ogg was born on 30 Nov 1855 at East Maitland, New South Wales, a son to Edward Ogg and Rachael Burchal Ogg (nee Gordon). He married Edith Mary Ogg (nee Da Costa) on 6 Sep 1883 at Rockhampton, Queensland, and they had 6 children.
