The death occurred recently of Mr. Lewis Gore Ormsby, who was in the not far distant past very well known in this district. Most of his life was spent on the land, but he was also at one time in the employ, of Messrs. C. K. Rose, and Co. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gore Ormsby, whose home was for many years at "Waratah," now the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bryant.
Leaving Cowra he managed a number of station properties in various parts of the State, principally for members of the well known pastoral family, the Haleys, to whom he was related.
He was 60 years of age when the last call came, and leaves a widow and one son.
