Turf Leader Dies
Mr. William Powell (77), one of western Victoria's best-known racing men, and president of Sheep Hills Turf Club for 25 years, died at his Sheep Hills property on Friday.
He was a councillor for 16 years and a Boer War Veteran.
Mr. Powell was buried at Warracknabeal.
