Albert Hazelwood PURCHASE was born in Portland, Victoria in 1879
His parents were Edward Charles PURCHASE & Emma Elizabeth FISHER
He married Sarah Catherine O'HALLORAN
Albert served in both the Boer War in the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles & was invalided home to Victoria on 4th November, 1901 and re-enlisted on 10th July, 1915 to serve in WW1 in the 2nd Field Company Engineers - he returned to Australia on 23rd March, 1919 and was discharged on 21st May, 1919
He died in Kew, Victoria on 6th July 1963
