Ernest Florestan RAMSKILL was born in Table Cape in Tasmania on 21st December, 1881

His parents were John Thomas RAMSKILL & Thirza Elizabeth WHITE - 3 known daughters, Joan, Maida & Helen.

He married Hyla Golding MOREY in Tasmania on 27th August, 1913 

He served in the Boer War with the 4th (2nd) Imperial Bushmen Contingent which embarked from Hobart on 27th March, 1901 on the transport ship Chicago
