The Rev. J. A. Reynolds, who has been appointed chaplain to the Imperial Bushmen's Contingent, is an Australian, and has a brother Mr. M. H. Reynolds already in South Africa as a member of Lieut.-Colonel Knight's contingent. Mr. Reynolds was ordained deacon and priest by the present Bishop of Bathurst, and has had much experience in bush and country work, both in British New Guinea, as assistant priest in the Anglican Mission, and in Australia. He has been curate of All Saints' Cathedral, Bathurst, locum tenens of the parish of George's Plains, assistant priest In the River Murray Mission In "South Australia, and of late locum tenens of St. Barabbas's, South Bathurst. Prior to taking up work in New Guinea, Mr. Reynolds received instruction from Dr. Machattie, of Bathurst in ambulance work, which training should prove useful in his present position.
