Son of John and Margaret Scard
Husband of Emily Jane Scard, of 62, Angel St., Newtown, Sydney.
HE DID NOT SHUN HIS COUNTRY'S CALL HE GAVE HIS LIFE HIS BEST, HIS ALL
Two brothers served and nephew Darcy Keating was killed in action and nephew R Mckay Lieut of the Flying Corps.
Word was received in Coonamble last week that Private J.J. Scard, who was reported missing, is now officially reported killed in action on July 29, 1916. Private Scard leaves a widow and six children.
SCARD.—Prívate J. J. Scard, who was officially reported missing, July 29th, 1916, now killed in action.
Somewhere in France he fell.
Our soldier so brave and so true,
He fought for our freedom and liberty.
And died 'neath the Red, White, and Blue.
