The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 171 and 275. Prior to the war he was a public accountant of Sydney NSW. He enlisted 18th Aug 1914 aged 35 years. He served with the 1st Field Artillery Brigade and liaised heavily with infantry Units in their daring raids into the No Mans Land and into the German trench systems. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 9th Oct 1918. During his service he was awarded a Mention in Dispatches, and a Distinguished Service Order.
