Edward Renaud SKIPWITH was born on 29th May, 1877 in Prestbury, Gloucestershire, England
His parents were Philip George SKIPWITH & Annie Elizabeth NIMMO HOWARD
He had previously served for 18 months with the Bedfordshire Volunteer Corps before he enlisted in the 2nd Western Australia Mounted Infantry & embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia on 3rd February, 1900 on the Transport ship Surrey
He stayed on in South Africa & married Violet Gustel Cohen HOLT on 23rd February, 1920 at St John the Evangelist Church in Cape Town, South Africa - Violet died in Devon, England in 1977
Edward died in Devon, England in 1962
