1 Jun 1900: Promoted Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, Sergeant, 4th Queensland Imperial Bushmen, AWM Boer War Nominal Roll, Murray p. 480 notes promoted to Sergeant on 1 Jun 1900. Also noted in Murray p. 475 notes South African Orders of 7 Jul 1901 he was to transfer to the 5th QIB at rank of Lieutenant (Supernumerary) but he does not appear on the roll for the 5th QIB.
