OBITUARY.
The death took place in Brisbane last week of Mr. Arthur H. Stanley, aged 46 years. The late Mr. Stanley was the well-known proprietor of the Australian Hotel, Adelaide-street, which he conducted till his demise. The deceased was born in Brisbane, and left for the South African War as a bugler boy, after which he travelled to England. He thence adopted a sea-faring life and visited many parts of the world, migrating to New York, where he lived for a number of years and where he married. His bent for sport made him a close follower of sporting bodies and he was president of the Maryborough Cycle Club. The late Mr. Stanley is survived by a widow, mother and father, two sisters
and two brothers. The funeral took place in Brisbane.
