Graeme Ross Stewart is the correct the spelling however military records have him as Graham .
Served as a Driver sn 2804 in A Battery NSW Artillery for two years and 11 days prior to joining NSWMR on 3/11/1899 for service in the Boer War .
He took part in the relief of Kimberley, then the advance to Paardeberg ,Osfontein and operations at Abrahams Kraal,Dreifontein and the advance onto Bloemfontein.Later operations were at Bandfort and Vet River then listed as sick on 3/5/1900 he never returned to the field and was eventually returned to Australia on 3/7/1900 with effects of Enteric Fever contracted in the field.

Of interest is he is listed as a Galloper for General French was lightly wounded in action and also had a Horse shot from under him .

He re enlisted on the 22/4/1902 with the 5th NSW Battlion Australian Commonwealth Horse 3rd troop B squadron sn 165 however when the troop ship arrived in South Africa on the 22/5/1902 hostilities ceased 9 days later.

He enlisted in WW1 with AIF on 19/10/1915 with the rank of Corporal sn 1699 with th 6th squadron 2nd Remount unit .
he disembarked at Maadi Egypt 14/1/1916 however he was in and out of hospital with Cystitis only served a total of 81 days in the fieldbefore being returned to Australia on the 29/4/1916 and dicharged
