Biography

Enlisted in British Armyat sixteen years of age

Served in Spanish Civil War for fifteen months in 1875 -76 fighting on the side of the the Royalist

Came to South Australia in 1879

When local forces were reorganised was made a warrant officer and quarter master sergeant of 2nd Battalion, South Australia 

Invalided to Australia from South Africa August 1900.
