Charles Tripp was born in 1878 in Victoria, Australia, a son to Robert Lawson Tripp and Mary Ann Tripp (nee Aughey). When he enlisted in 1901 in the 6th QIB he noted his N.O.K. as his father, Robert Lawson Tripp at Prahran, Victoria.
