When Arthur Wellington was born on November 9, 1877, in Toongabbie, Victoria, his father, Arthur, was 28 and his mother, Mary, was 27. He married Minnie Agnes Jordan on February 18, 1907, in New Plymouth, Taranaki. They had 10 children in 19 years. He died on July 31, 1943, in New Plymouth, Taranaki, at the age of 65, and was buried in Taranaki.
