Biography contributed by Claude McKelvey

When Colin Wright enlisted in 1901 in the 5th QIB and his details were published with the rank and file in The Queenslander, 16 Mar 1901, he noted his N.O.K. as his sister K. White, Beanly P.O., Inverness, Scotland. In the Boer War Service Paybooks for the 6th QIB, Bk 3 p. 12, it is noted he gave his address as Isisford.

When he passed in 1929 at Isisford Hospital, Isisford, an obituray was published in The Morning Bulletin, 2 Oct 1929, noting he was and old resident of Isisford and a South African war veteran.

Colin White was born in Scotland in 1867 in the district of Kilmorack, a son to Colin White and Annie White (nee Finlayson).
