Willim Henry White was born on 27 Jul 1871 at Rylstone, New South Wales, a son to Abel White and Annie Jane White (nee Doyle). When he enlisted in 1901 in the 5th QIB he was residing at Cunnamulla, Queensland, and noted his N.O.K. as his father Abel White at Rylstone, NSW. He married twice, first to Alice Mabel Beardow in 1904 at Ballina, NSW and they had 6 children. Alice passed in 1921 after which William married for a second time in 1928 to Elizabeth F. M. McCallam at Grafton, NSW.
He was a baker by trade and following return from the war he had bakery businesses in NSW at Mullumbimby, Dunoon and The Channon. He was lastly involved in tobacco growing at Texas in Qld.
