Biography contributed by Claude McKelvey

Walter Hunter Wildie was born around 1874 (possibly in New Zealand), a son to George Hunter Wildie and Francis Wildie. When he enlisted in 1899 for the South African (Boer) War he noted his N,O.K as his father who was a Stock and Station Agent in Cunnamulla, Queensland. He married Rose Hennessy on 12 Dec 1901 in Queensland and they had four children. Its unknown when they moved to New South Wales where he passed away in 1948, however, his wife passed away in 1971 in Queensland.
