2 Jul 1902:	Discharged Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, Private, 208, 5th Queensland Imperial Bushmen, Remained in Sth Africa for further service went rest of 5th QIB returned to Australia. Qld State Archives- Boer War Service Paybooks 5th QIB Bk 2, p. 58, notes returned to Australia aboard Australasian arriving Brisbane 25 Jun 1902, discharged 2 Jul 1902.
