Biography

Pte Kenneth Parker served in the Australian Regular Army during World War 2 for 833 days, ostensibly as a transport driver in various units across two theatres, but primarily in the 2/33 Australian General Transport Company.

In March 1941 he sailed to the war in the Middle East, arriving in April of that year.

In January 1944, he served in New Guinea, again as a driver, and again with the same unit.

In New Guinea, his principal role was to get supplies to the soldiers on the Kokoda Trail.
