Daniel Patrick PASCHE was born at Narridy, SA on 16.03.1881 to John (1830-1878) and Ellen PASCHE nee HYLAND.
Daniel PASCHE joined the AIF on 05.08.1915 at the age of 33 and was given service number 3854. He was allocated to the 10th Infantry Battalion.
He embarked Australia with his battalion on 02.12.1915 arriving in France via Egypt.
On 09.09.1916 Pte. PASCHE was wounded in grenade training accident in France where another serviceman, Pte. S.P. McNEIL 4538 was killed. He was injured sustaining injuries to his right eye. He re-joined the battalion on 06.10.1916. This accident was subject to an internal enquiry.
On 26.12.1917, he was admitted to hospital sick and as a result, was evacuated to England on 17.01.1918.
Daniel PASCHE returned to Australia on 13.04.18 and was discharged from the AIF as medically unfit on 29.04.18
He was granted a pension of 1 pound 10 shillings per fortnight from 30.04.1918.
