Alice Elizabeth Barrett KITCHEN was born in Talbot, Victoria in 1873 under the surname KITCHIN

Her parents were William Barrett KITCHIN & Mary Ann CONWAY

She enlisted on 26th September, 1914 with the 1st Australian General Hospital and embarked on 19th October, 1914 on the HMAT Benalla along with the 8th Battalion

She returned to Australia on 28th August, 1919 on the ship Kanowna and arrived on 23rd October, 1919 & was discharged on 5th March, 1920

Alice died at 318 Nepean Highway, Edithvale, Victoria on 17th June, 1950 aged 77 years
