Biography contributed by Lynne Redman

Lisle Pulbrook was a family friend, my mother and his wife came out together on the "Bride Ship" from England and remained friends all their lives.

Lisle studied engineering after the war and had very interesting jobs which took him in some cases to remote parts of Australia.

He was a very resourceful man which in part was the result of being a German POW. Having to fend for himself as the war was coming to an end and the German Army was in retreat.

He built a boat in his backyard and had many enjoyable times on the water in it.

Uncle Lisle, as I called him, was a courteous and gentle man and a good friend to my father.
