"Driver Leslie F. Dower
Driver Leslie F. Dower, of Ballarat, reported missing in Middle East operations is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Dower, South-street, Ballarat. He was 24 years of age when he enlisted last year in the 2/23rd Battalion, A.I.F. Before joining the army, Driver Dower was a transport driver for Mr. A. Woodward's Ballarat timber mill.
