Add my storyBiography
Pte Francis Mowbray NOBLE was the father of Pt France NOBLE MiD (Service Number 1580, No 1 Australian General Hospital).
He was married to Alice Emily NOBLE.
He enlisted on 13 July 1915 and is thought to have lowered his age to 44 (actual age 58).
His Service Record indicates an issue with his Medical. Having been attached to teh Reinforcements of the 31st Infantry Battalion he seems to have spent most of his 6 weeks of initial service in and out of detention for being Absent Without Leave; Resisting Arrest; Obscene Language and being drunk & disorderly. A Medical Board certified that he was unfit for duty on 13 September 1915.
