Max married Joan Willis from Condobolin. He worked around the area as a share farmer. They had 4 childern, Shayne, Kip, Lisa and Joanne.
In later times he owned bulldozers with which he cleared Mallee forests for wheat growing.
They moved to Sydney in the mid 1970's and he was the first ranger at Davidson Park, Forrestville
Max retired to a beauitful farm called "Girraween" west of Bowraville, NSW. There he planted all kinds of trees which remaim today as a wonderful legacy to a wonderful man.
