"Surgeon-Lieut., R.A.N. Born at Herberton, and educated at Scotch College, Melbourne, and Melbourne University. The son of (late) Charles Gisborne Hurrey and Norah Hurrey, of Melbourne. On September 25th, 1914, he married Nina Ethel Crockett, daughter of (late) Maihen and Annie Crockett, of Denhugh Street, Armadale, Melbourne, and has now one son. Left Brisbane October 21 st, 1915, with the H.M.A. Destroyer Flotilla (Warrego, Yarra, and Parramatta), as M.O. in charge of flotilla. Service on high seas, Pacific, and China Station .
