Joined the Australian Army on 3 Aug 2004 as an infantryman. Posted to A Company, 3 RAR, Holdworthy Barracks in November 2004. Completed parachute training and Direct Fire Support Weapons (DFSW) specialist course in 2005 and posted to Support Company, DFSW Platoon at the end of that year.
Deployed at short notice to East Timor as part of Operation Astute in 2006 to quell civil strife and supervise elections.
Deployed to East Timor at short notice in 2007 to assist the capture of "rebel" leadership.
Deployed to Afghanistan in 2008 as part of Opperation Slipper.
Posted to Australia's Federation Guard (AFG) as respite posting in 2009.
Discharged from Australian Army in 2012 to return to SA as a Correctional Officer.
