"CASUALTIES AND FATALITIES. SOLDIER FATALLY INJURED.
John Alexander Wood, a private in the expeditionary force, was knocked down by a motor-car near Broadmeadows camp early on Sunday morning. He was removed to the Melbourne Hospital suffering from internal injuries and a lacerated leg. His condition became worse yesterday and he died between 8 and 9 o"clock last night.
