Roy rode a bicycle all his life. Common site seeing Roy riding to work at the Sugarworks and back home. Lived oppersite General Motors Holden car factory. Ashes Memorialised at Karrakatt Cemetery.

Roy served with the Australian Army Catering Corps during WW2 from 22 Feb 1941 to 21 Jan 1944. Service no. W8073
