CARRUM.
The sad death from pneumonia of Les Matthewson, one of the volunteers was referred to with regret by Mr. Keast M.L.A. and his comrades supplied a beautiful wreath with the following inscription:— "With heartfelt and sincere sympathy for our departed brother soldier who gave his life for his country. From his comrades in arms. Carrum." - from the Seaside News, 07 August 1915. (nla.gov.au) (nla.gov.au)
