'Lance-Corporal LAURENCE WESTERGAARD.
Lance-Corporal Laurence Westergaard (3006), another brother of William Westergaard, was born in South Australia on the 2nd April, 1897, and was educated at North Fremantle. He was married on the 16th October, 1920, to Daisy Greaves, daughter of Emma and the late Henry Greaves. He enlisted on the 21st August, 1916, and embarked for England on the 9th November, 1916. He crossed to France on the 21st Feb., 1917, and was wounded at Wyschatte on the 7th August, 1918. He left France for England on the 4th April, 1919, and sailed for Australia on the 21st July, 1919.' from Australia's Fighting Sons of the Empire.
