When Wilfred James Keough Baker was born on 12 August 1921 in Manly, New South Wales, his father, Wilfred, was 27 and his mother, Florence, was 29. He married Hazel Clifton and they had two children together. He then married Karoline Wilhelmine Bollhorst on 28 March 1959 in Sydney, New South Wales. He died on 12 May 1984 in Grafton, New South Wales, at the age of 62, and was buried there.
