Enlisted for WW1 but was discharged when real age was discovered. Date of birth on Army papers given as 6/5/1895. Making him 2 yrs older than he was.
Enlisted in the Australian Army on the 23rd March 1942 and was Discharged on the 10th October 1942 from the 12 Battalion Volunteer Defence Corps.
