Leonard Gregory Brandon was born in Wilmington, Mount Remarkable, South Australia, September 1894. Before he served in the army, Leonard worked as a labourer. He enlisted on the 4th of October 1915.
Once he enlisted in the army, he was put into 13th Reinforcement, 9th Light Horse and later in the war, 13th Field Artillery Brigade. He served through out the whole war and returned to Australia safely.
After returning to Australia, Leonard continued to live in Wilmington. Until he died there on the 27th of June 1963 at the age of 68.
