Son of Martin and Eliza Bergman, of Cabramatta Rd., Cabramatta, New South Wales.

A 25 year old Baker from Longfield Street, Cabramatta, New South Wales enlisted in the AIF on 21 March 1915 and was allotted to the 13th Army Service Corps, 5th Reinforcements which embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on the HMAT A20 Hororata, 10 April 1915. During the Great War 5827 Sergeant BERGMAN, 1 Field Bakery Australian Army Service Corps, died of Pneumonia and was buried at St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France.
