Family
Leonard Berecry was born on 19 May 1900 at 36 Comber Street, Paddington NSW the youngest of eight children of Bryan (Bernard) Berecry and Maria (née Maraspen). He was employed as a carpenter. On 6 September 1924 at Methodist Church Griffith, he married Doris Ira Ridgeway. The couple had children surnamed Berecry: Neil (1927 - 1932): Norma; and Clair Joy.
