Kenneth Haig MacQUEEN was born in KORUMBURRA, Victoria on the 8th May, 1917. Father was Lachlan MacQUEEN.

Joined Militia in 12th Oct, 1936 as part of 29th-22nd Battalion.

S/N VE326332

Promoted to Sgt in 1938.

Promoted to Lt on 20, Oct, 1939 and subsequently transferred from the AMF to the AIF for overseas duties. Allocated to the 2nd/7th Battalion. S/N VX348

Served in the Middle East and Greece. Believed to have been captured on Crete in 1941 where the 2nd / 7th Battalion served as the rear guard for the evacuation resulting in the capture of the bulk of this Battalion. Served the remainder of the war as a priosner predomantly at Oflag V11-B until his return in 1945.

Awarded the Efficiency Decoration (ED) for services renedred and post war worked as a Spirts Salesman.
