Son of Albert Edward Thatcher and Edith Emily Thatcher nee Vincent of Rose Park, Adelaide, SA
Husband of Mavis Jean Thatcher nee Wiles of James Street, Moonee Ponds, Victoria. Bertram and Mavis married in Victoria in 1944c
He died while walking along the street to the shops
