Harold settled with his family (parents Harold Vincent and Elsie, brothers William, Walter, Richard and Athel and sister Mary). Harold's three brothers - William, Walter and Richard served in WWII.
Harold enlisted in 2nd Battalion Volunteer Defence Corps on 19 February 1941 and was a Private (Service No: W67920) until 24 February 1944.
Harold was an Orchardist in Gosnells, Western Australia and married Olga Innes Morgan (1919 - 1994) in 1949. Olga was Matron at Port Hedland Hospital in 1946, and was Nursing at the York District Hospital when she and Harold met.
