Hazel, 7th of 9 children of Ernest Richards and Margaret Ann Ridsdale of Ipswich, QLD was employed as a Waitress in Southport, QLD when she enlisted in the RAAF on 15 June 1942 as an Aircraftwoman (Service No: 100201) with 3 Embarkation Depot (Sandgate).
Brother Arthur William George Richards and sister Constance Edna Adams were also serving in the Defence Forces.
Hazel was Discharded on 8 July 1943, and married Henry John Brown in Ipswich QLD
