    Francis (Frank) William Roberts was the 5th of 6 children of Charles Roberts and Lily Lavinia Tanner, and grew up in Perth, Western Australia where he enlisted in the Australian Army in 1940.

    Frank and his wife Alice lived in Perth, Western Australia after WWII

    Brothers George William Nelson, Leslie Victor, Albert Charles and Ronald Portlock Robert also served in the Australian Defence Forces in WWII
