Corporal Ellen Davies (Service No:100678) served in the RAAF from 2 September 1942 to 14 January 1946 and was attached to RAAF 2 Stores Depot at Discharge.
Born in 1920 in Brisbane QLD, Ellen was the fifth of six children of Arthur Percival Davies (b1885 in Brisbane, QLD) and Elizabeth Grace Butler (b1889 in Brisbane, QLD). Arthur (a Stonemason) and Elizabeth married in 1909 in Brisbane, QLD where they settled and raised their family and Arthur was a Stonemason.
Ellen worked as a Dressmaker in Brisbane and in 1941 married John Lewis Coles (b1916 in Toowoomba, QLD) - John a Private (Service No: Q45922) in the ACMF. Ellen and John were Divorced in 1948 and in 1949 in Sydney NSW, Ellen remarried to Randolph Marshall Stow (b1918 in York, WA) – Randolph had served in the RAAF as a Warrant Officer (Service No:14001). Ellen and Randolph settled in Sydney where Randolph was a Clerk. Ellen died in 1977 and Randolph in 1979.
