Geoffrey (Geoff) Donald Taylor was the eldest child of Gordon Taylor (born in Tasmania) and Sarah Ann (Sadie) Limbrick (born in Tasmania) who married in 1922 in Tasmania.
Geoff was born in Doald East in Wimmera Victoria where his father was a Painter, and by 1927 the family had moved to Melbourne, Victoria.
Geoff was 19 years of age when he enlisted in the Australian Army and served as a Driver (Service No: Vx301185) with 2/2 AUST MOB AMB CORPS. He was Discharged in December 1945 and in 1946 Geoff married Vilma Jean Norwood in Ipswich, QLD
Geoff lived with his family in Melbourne, Victoria until 1954, where he was employed as a Printer. In 1958 the family was living in Ipswich, QLD where Geoff worked as a Lithographer and Printer until Geoff's death in 2010
