Frederick, born 1920 in Scottsdale, Tasmania was the eldest of seven children of Cosmo McCausland Colquhuon Whish - Wilson (born 1890 in Launceston, Tasmania) and Helena Mary Crole (born 1898 in Bunbury, Western Australia). Cosmo was a Farmer.
Younger brother Cosmos served with the RAAF (Service No: 88087) during WWII.
Frederick married Edith Lillian Cox (born 1921 in Sisters Creek, Tasmania) in 1942 and they settled at Circular Head in Darwin, Tasmania where Frederick worked as a Millman.
Frederick died in 1985 in Smithton, Tasmania
