Keith was the youngest of two sons of Henry Lionel Anderson (born 1887 in Bunbury, WA) and Valborg (Vally) Caroline Jorgensen (born 1892 in Melbourne, Victoria). Keith's father Henry and his older brother Kenneth Lionel were both career soldiers.
