Born in Perth, Western Australia, Kevin was the third of four children of Thomas Brennan (born 1881 in Vasse, WA) and Winifred Theresa Skehan (born 1895 in Carlton, Victoria). Thomas and Winifred married in 1914 in Perth and lived in the Perth and Busselton regions where Thomas worked as a Repairer and Teamster.
Kevin, a Tiler in Perth, WA, married Eva May Brookes (born 1920 in Northam, WA) in 1941. He enlisted in the Australian Army in September 1943, serving as a Corporal (Service Nos: WX40732/W57244) with 5 Anti Aircraft Battery. Older brother Vincent Sydney (Service No: WX71) was a PoW in Germany, and Uncle Matthew (Service No: W83925) was with the ACMF in WWII.
Uncles - James Vincent (Service No: 3024); Peter (Service No: 15146); Edward John (Service No: 1020) and George Henry (Service No: 3487) served in WWI.
Kevin and Eva settled in Mount Hawthorn in Perth following his Discharge in October 1945, where Kevin worked as a Barman. Eva died in 1991 and Kevin in 1997.
